Laghutvam

4 Weeks, Mon-Fri | 5-00 to 6-30pm | Intermediate, Advance

“Laghutvam” is derived from two Sanskrit words – ‘Laghu’ and ‘Tattvam’. Laghu (लघु) in Sanskrit means lightness and Tattvam or Tattva (तत्त्व) means principle. Put together, this forms the Laghutvam program, where the teacher leads the session to achieve lightness through practice.

Laghutvam is a led class that follows a thoughtfully designed sequence, offering a guided and immersive practice experience. Each session is structured to create continuity and rhythm, allowing practitioners to move with awareness and coordination of breath and movement.

The sequence varies across days, with focused themes such as backbends, hip opening, twists, or balance. This ensures that the body is worked in a balanced and progressive manner, while maintaining consistency in practice.

The emphasis of Laghutvam lies in cultivating lightness and ease, while maintaining steadiness and attention throughout. With clear verbal guidance, practitioners are supported in refining alignment, building strength, and developing stability without strain.

Suitable for practitioners of different levels, Laghutvam offers a structured and energising group practice that brings together discipline, flow, and mindful movement.
