The Prenatal Yoga Teachers Training Course at Indea Yoga is specifically designed for yoga teachers who intend to specialize in Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga.
This course is put together in such a way that the student will be able to deepen their technical, anatomical, emotional, and spiritual knowledge with regards to Preconception, Prenatal, and Postnatal phases. This course gives a holistic approach of understanding different stages, conditions, complications, during all the phases of pregnancy.

Yogacharya Bharat Shetty is the first yoga teacher in India to be certified as E-RYT 500. He also certified in Childrens Yoga and Prenatal Yoga with YACEP, RCYT and RPYT to from Yoga Alliance.

Surabhi has completed her Indea Yoga Level-2 Teacher’s Training in December 2021(RYT500). She specializes in Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga. She’s also working on nutritional and mental well-being aspects for pregnant women with yoga, under the guidance of Yogacharya Bharat Shetty.

An Ayurvedic doctor who specializes in the management of gynaecological issues and other issues related to women's health. In search of non-chemical and wholistic modalities to treat mental and physical ailments, she came across yoga and discovered its unique benefits. Ever since, she has been a consistent practitioner and also chose to educate the same to the world.
Apart from being a doctor, she is a passionate sportsperson winning several awards and also a gifted aesthete.

Divya, a consistent and excellent practitioner of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, finished her level 2 TTC from Indeayoga.
Module 1: Practice
Beginner & Intermediate Classical Hatha Yoga Asanas are taught in the IndeaYoga Style. During this module, you will learn how to practice the IndeaYoga Arogya (Beginner), and Abhyasa (Preparatory) series.
The Arogya (Beginner) series provides the knowledge and skill to work with students who are new to the practice. Any complication during pregnancy, extreme stiffness in the body, lack of stability, and the physical-mental-emotional changes can be managed with this sequence.
The Abhyasa (Preparatory) Series provides a good grounding with a wide range of Asanas to improve body balance, strength and flexibility.
Module 2: Asana Technique Classes
Sequence of asanas are taught thoroughly in the format given below. The students are expected to learn the same and teach classes.

Module 3: Individual Practice – Leading a Group Class to Improve the Teacher in You
Applying the above 8-step teaching methodology, students will take several teaching sessions, leading fellow students in a classroom setting through a mock teaching class multiple times during the course. The aim is for students to gain knowledge of the methodology of teaching that includes the principles of demonstration, instructions and observation. Students may be required to observe Indea Yoga teachers who take the Mysore Style (Guided Self Practice) classes.
Module 4: Pranayama
A selection of energizing and relaxing pranayama techniques will be taught during the course.
Module 5: Anatomy Lessons
A general overview of the structure and function of the human anatomy will be taught for the student to co-relate the impact of their practice on the body. Deeper dive into the anatomy of a woman's body before, during, and after pregnancy.
Module 6: Key Shlokas: Meaning and Context
Students are expected to learn the prescribed opening and closing prayers, their meanings, and also familiarize themselves with chanting a few other mantras.
Module 7: Overview of Yoga Philosophy
Basics from the study of scriptures like Garbha Upanishad and Garbha Sanskara is taught.

- Basics of Garbha Sanskara that can be applied in day-to-day life
- Mantras and Shloka chanting
Module 8: Self-practice
Self-study, study of recommended books, participating in discussion and practice of all the above-mentioned topics is expected from each student throughout the four week course.
- Students should be Level 1 certified teachers from Indea Yoga or any other reputed institutes from across the world.

Schedule from Monday - Friday
9:30AM - 11AM - Technical Class
11AM - 12PM - Anatomy
12PM - 1:15PM - Asana Practice
1:15PM - 2PM - Pranayama Practice
3:00PM - 4:00PM - Teaching Class
Saturdays- Classes will be conducted in between 9:30AM and 4PM, with some changes in the schedule.
80% attendance mandatory for the course
*Class timings may alter, in case of any emergency situations. Any change in the schedule will be informed to the students well within time.
On successful completion of a theory and practical exam you graduate with Indea Yoga RPYS (Registered Prenatal Yoga School), with an RPYT 85+ certification by Yoga Alliance.
In the end, you are more than just a teacher. You become a yogi in the truest sense.
